Battles are sure to come.
But HOW we choose to fight makes all the difference.
You must find balance to be be a good warrior.
Without balance, in the physical, you can easily be knocked
to the ground.
Without balance you cannot defeat you enemy.
There is also a balance we must maintain in our mind, our emotions and our spirit.
The balance is between FEAR and PRIDE
We do not want to live in fear or in pride.
If you become overly fearful you will fall.
If you become overly prideful you will fall.
Why?
Being fearful is a normal response to an attack.
But you cannot let the fear consume you or you will be powerless, frozen.
Equally, being prideful makes you vulnerable. You will rely on old victories
and your enemy will outwit you.
So we must hold on to both caution (fear) and confidence (pride)
Do not abandon them completely.
For fear will make you vigilant and awake.
Pride will give you just enough confidence to know you can win.
What brings this balance?
Wisdom
Wisdom is knowledge.
Knowledge about your opponent and knowledge about yourself.
God gives us this wisdom.
Our victories and mistakes give us this wisdom.
And as we face the battles of today we carry this balance of wisdom
with us into the fight. Don't ignore the past, it is your teacher.
Have confidence that you CAN win this time!
Prayer and meditation combined with humility and a listening ear
will allow you to hear the Spirit's voice.
The same Spirit that raised Yeshua form the dead will give you
victory as you ABIDE in his presence.
One of the best defenses against the enemy is this:
When you find yourself in a tough spot, in an area of weakness, or a straight
out attack do this:
STOP
WAIT
LISTEN
Ask the Spirit for wisdom.
He gives freely to all who ask!
Just try it next time.
See what happens...
